The subject of this article is a Polish-language collection emblems by Paweł Mirowski, the Spiritual Hammer, 1656. work in fact paraphrase Thomas à Kempis’s Imitatio Christi, which author admits neither on title page nor preface. In addition, translation supplemented with five to seven engravings (depending surviving copies) an emblematic kind. purpose twofold.
